It's Been a Few Days...

Hello my wonderful readers....while there are some of you who have stuck with me through this difficult time, these difficult years, I want to express my gratitude to you.  Those who are new, I say welcome.  I have changed some direction from the last time that I self-published.  I am more...deliberate, less...impulsive in my attempts to bring you the stories that flow in my head.  Perhaps that comes with age.  Perhaps that comes with the emotions that grief brings.

I was always 'daddy's girl'.  I idolized my father.  Sure, we disagreed, we clashed a lot, but that was because we both have a penchant for being stubborn when we think we are right.  Who really knows?  Still, the loss of my father has brought about many changes in my personal life.  Life is an interesting journey full of so much, whether bad or good.  So, without further ado, here is a short unofficial synopsis of Winter's Echo: Mark of the Gods.

Synopsis

When Eilif, a Viking warrior turned vampire in 899 AD, is hired by Raymond Astor to secure political gain, he encounters his next intended target—Linnea Johanssen.

Linnea, a recent arrival to the National Archives, brings with her unparalleled skills in Norse runes, Norse mythology, and historical analysis. Plagued by dreams for as long as she can remember, Linnea's new role as an archivist seems like the perfect escape. But her dreams hold the key to unlocking the truth behind the ancient marks that bind them to the gods.

Eilif, hardened by centuries of immortality and the guilt of having killed his beloved Anneli, is stunned when he meets Linnea, who bears an uncanny resemblance to Anneli and has the same birthmark—a mark that Eilif himself bears. Faced with this haunting resemblance, Eilif must grapple with his past and decide what path to take. Will he protect Linnea or use her to further his mission?
